Dates of the VKE play bus

The activity of the first VKE play bus started in 1980 (official and ceremonial handing over to the children on 11.10.1980 at the Viehmarkt square in Bolzano).
However, even before this, VKE had carried out the same type of activity at the weekends with rented vans. At that time, the idea had come from Münich, where the pedagogic action has been operating with their play bus projects since the beginning of the 70's.
The VKE play bus remained the only play bus in Italy for long years.
By now, a lot of things have changed (lucky for the children): at the moment there are 4 VKE play buses which operate all through the year and also in the rest of Italy and in Europe a lot of new projects have started (www.alipergiocare.org and www.spielmobile.de)
