Fernanda Mattedi Tschager

Fernanda Mattedi Tschager was selected to be the new national director of VKE on the occasion of the first meeting of the national committee after the General Meeting of 2012.

She was the initiator of the VKE section Salorno and its president until 2004.
Since 2008, Fernanda Mattedi Tschager has been the advisor in the national committee.

The new VKE national director has worked almost all her life in the social field and was the director of the district community Oltradige-Bassa Atesina up until her retirement.
Fernanda Mattedi Tschager has summarised her motivation in the following sentence: "Now I am a grandmother and just like I was active in VKE as a young mother for my daughters, I would like to do the same for my grandchildren".
In my mind, VKE has always been connected to a commitment to a juster society.
I was always in harmony with VKE, which has been an inter-ethnic association right from the beginning which is ready to work together with other associations and is open for integration: its openness to the world has always fascinated me.

In my professional life, I have devoted myself with all my might to people with disabilities (1970), to the physically ill (1990), to new cultures and integration (2000). Therefore, I hope that I can contribute to the work of VKE with my best abilities.
